This “Footsteps of our Lord”, Israel Guaranteed Departure Tour, will take you to the most significant biblical and archaeological sites in the Holy Land. Packed with lots of amazing historical and biblical sites and features, you’ll visit such places as: Mount of Olives, Nazareth, Capernaum, Western Wall, Garden Tomb, Yad Vashem, Caesarea Maritime and much more.

DAY 1 – SATURDAY

DAY 2 – SUNDAY

ARRIVAL / TEL AVIV

Welcome to Israel. Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel-Aviv. You will be met by staff inside the terminal and be transferred to your hotel in Tel Aviv for dinner and
overnight.


DAY 3 – MONDAY

CAESAREA / MEGIDDO / HAIFA / ACRE

Following a delicious Israeli buffet breakfast depart Tel Aviv and drive north along the coastal plain to Caesarea (Acts 9.30 Acts 10 24-48), capital of Judea under the Romans. Visit the excavations of this ancient city, the Roman Theater and Aqueduct. Continue to Megiddo (1 Kings 4.28, 9, 15, 2 Kings 23, 29 & Revel. 16.16), identified as the site of Armageddon. Visit the archaeological excavations at Megiddo, including the well-preserved water supply system. Drive to the beautiful port city of Haifa, nestled on the Mediterranean Sea. Visit the world famous Persian Gardens at the Bahai Temple. From Haifa, drive to Acre (Micah 1.10), capital of the Crusaders for more than a century. Visit the ancient city and harbor before continuing eastwards across the plains of the Galilee to Kibbutz hotel Lavi, not far from the Sea of Galilee for dinner and overnight.


DAY 4 – TUESDAY

SEA OF GALILEE / CAPERNAUM / CAESAREA PHILIPPI

After a short tour of the Kibbutz grounds we take a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum (Matt. 4.13 13.54, 17.24, Luke 7, Mark 1.2, John 4.46-54). Visit the remains of the 2nd century synagogue. Proceed to Tabgha (Matt. 13, Mark .33-45, & John 21), the site of the miracle of fish and loaves, and visit the Church of Multiplication with its 4th century mosaic floor. Continue to the Mount of the Beatitudes (Matt. 5,6,7,8), where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Drive to the Banias Spring and Waterfall (Matt. 16.13 and Mark 8.27), where Jesus was recognized as The Messiah by His disciples. Tour the Golan Heights, with its valleys, grazing land and snow capped mountains. Return to Kibbutz Lavi for dinner and overnight.


DAY 5 – WEDNESDAY

NAZARETH / BEIT SHEAN / JERUSALEM

Begin the day with a drive to Nazareth (Luke 1.26, 4.16-29, Matthew 2.23) via Cana of Galilee (John 2.1-11). In Nazareth, we shall visit the Church of the Annunciation, St. Joseph’s Workshop and Mary’s Well. Next on our program is the Jordan River and the Baptismal site. Continue to Beit Shean, one of the ancient Decapolis cities (Mark 5.20, 7.31), and visit the Roman theater. This is the city where Saul and his son Jonathan were nailed to the walls (1st Samuel 31.10). Judges 1.27 also mentions Beit Shean. Continue south along the shores of the Jordan River. Passing Jericho, we proceed westward and climb to the Golden City of Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.


DAY 6 – THURSDAY

JERUSALEM / OLD CITY

Today we visit the Old City of Jerusalem. Our appreciation of this Golden City begins with a panoramic view from the Mount of Olives, overlooking the walls of the old city and the ancient Jewish cemetery. Enter the Old City to begin exploring the wonders of Jerusalem. Visit the Church of All Nations. Proceed to Mount Zion to see the tomb of King David and the nearby Room of the Last Supper (Mark 14.13, Luke 22. 10-38, Matt 26 17-29, Acts 1.13 and Acts 2 The Pentecost). Walk through the Cardo, the main street of Jerusalem 2000 years ago. View the Temple Mount and the Western Wall. Walk along the Via Dolorosa, where Jesus carried His Cross. Continue to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (Matt. 27. 33-57, 28.10). No visit to Jerusalem is complete without a walk through the colorful Arab bazaar. Visit the Garden Tomb. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.


DAY 7 – FRIDAY

JERUSALEM / BETHLEHEM

Today’s program is dedicated to the new city of Jerusalem. Visit the model of ancient Jerusalem. Continue to Yad Vashem, Israel’s memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. Enter the site by walking along the Street of the Righteous Gentiles, dedicated to the non-Jews that risked their lives in order to save their Jewish neighbors. Continue to Ein Karem, birthplace of John the Baptist (Luke 1.39-80). This Spanish style church and Mary’s well is where Mother Mary met her cousin Elizabeth. Proceed to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.


 DAY 8 – SATURDAY

QUMRAN / MASADA / DEAD SEA

Drive through the Judean Desert to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls where found in 1947 by a Bedouin boy. Visit the ancient city of Qumran to Masada, the last stronghold of the Jews after the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D. Ascend Masada by cable car and visit the food storeroom, water irrigation system and Herod’s Palace. Stop at the Dead Sea lowest point on earth and enjoy afloat in its therapeutic waters. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.


DAY 9 – SUNDAY

TIMNA / EILAT

After breakfast and check out from your hotel, venture South into a geological wonderland! Visit Timna Park and see the copper mines and King Solomon’s pillars and marvel at the huge multicolored rock formations. These towering sand-stones are so perfectly formed that they almost look man-made. Visit the Underwater Observatory Marine Park in Eilat. Get up close and personal with Red Sea aquatic life at this interactive observation park. Overnight: Hotel in Eilat.


DAY 10 – MONDAY

PETRA, JORDAN

Full day group tour to Petra, Jordan. Additional cost $295.00 per person + border fee. The tour to Petra starts from the pick-up in the morning (from the hotel in Eilat) and transfer to the Arava border. After ending all border-formalities we will drive up to Petra through the “Desert Highway” and arrive to the “Red Rose City” – Petra within 2 hours. We will enter the ancient city of Petra through the famous “Siq” – a narrow natural gorge that made the secret entrance to Petra. At once the valley of Petra will open in front of us, and we will see the famous “Khazane” (“Treasury”). We will visit the most famous monuments of Petra, carved in the red sandstone, stop for lunch (included) at one of our Petra restaurants, return to the bus and leave Petra. After a short city tour in Aqaba (time permitting) we will reach the Arava border and return to Eilat. Overnight: Hotel in Eilat.


DAY 11 – TUESDAY

THE NEGEV

Enjoy spectacular views of the desert and witness the unique geological phenomenon, the Ramon Crater. Delve into the bio dome museum, exploring the wildlife that has adapted to this desert region. Get an insider’s look at how the first Prime Minister of Israel lived when you visit his preserved home, the Ben Gurion hut. This hut is now a monument to the first leader of Israel, his life on Kibbutz Sde Boker, and his extraordinary relationship with the Negev Desert. Next, experience a camel ride and a traditional lunch at a Bedouin settlement in the Negev. Continue on to Be’er Sheva and learn the history of Israel’s superior Air Force. You’ll get a chance to view actual airplanes, displays, and the history of the modern Israeli Air Force, as well as audio-visual presentations that are engaging for both children and adults. Overnight: Hotel in Tel Aviv.


DAY 12 – WEDNESDAY

TEL AVIV – USA

Transfer to the airport for your flight back to the USA. Arrive the same day.

Deposits and Payments

A deposit of $350.00 is required with each reservation to guarantee booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to departure. All checks should be made payable to Coral Travel & Tours, Ltd.

Tour Arrangements

Air – Air arrangements are included in most group tours. Air is available to individual travelers upon request.

Land  All packages including overnight hotel stays are quoted based upon double occupancy sharing a twin or double room with private facilities. Coral Travel & Tours, Ltd. does not arrange sharing for individual travelers. Single rooms are available at additional cost. Coral Travel & Tours, Ltd. reserves the right to substitute hotels based upon availability when necessary. Sightseeing and entrance fees are included as per itinerary. Individual passengers and passengers arriving independently from a scheduled group are responsible for their own transfers.

Not Included

Gratuities, airport taxes and transfers (unless specifically included in certain group tours), optional tours, charges for passports, vaccinations and inoculations, excess baggage charges, accident, trip cancellation and baggage insurance, telephone and cable charges, laundry, meals not specified in the itinerary, liquor, items of a personal nature and any items not specifically listed as included.

Cancellation Penalties

All cancellations must be in writing.

  • Up to 100 days prior to departure date $75.00 cancellation fee
  • From 99-61 days prior to departure date $250.00 cancellation fee
  • From 60-46 days prior to departure date $350.00 cancellation fee
  • From 45 days prior to departure date and on – full cancellation fee (100%)

Passports/Visa

You will be required to provide Coral Travel & Tours with a copy of your passport with final payment. Please Note: The State of Israel requires that your passport have an expiration date not less than 6 months after your date of arrival in Israel. There is no visa requirement for citizens of the United States traveling to Israel. Other nationals should contact their consulate for visa information. For other destinations please contact Coral Travel & Tours, Ltd. Coral Travel & Tours does NOT process visa applications. No inoculations are currently required for travel to Israel. Please contact public health authorities for further information or other destinations.

Fuel Surcharge

Please note fuel surcharges are set by the airline and Coral Travel & Tours has no control over nor receives advance notice of changes. Due to fluctuating global oil prices, the fee may change. The airline will only guarantee the fee at time of ticketing. If the airline imposes an increase, the difference will be the responsibility of each traveler and will be collected prior to departure.

Baggage

Suitcases: 1 per person, not to exceed 50 lbs. for 1 bag. Each can measure up to 62 linear inches (length + height + width). Carry On Luggage: 1 per person, not to exceed 11 lbs. Each can measure up to 45 linear inches (length + height + width).

Deviations

Any change in the basic program will result in the charge of $150 per change per person plus any additional charges that may apply for revised air or land arrangements.
